Décor Dictionary: Passementerie

Passementerie: (pronounced “pahs-mahn-tree”) is the art of making intricate trimmings and decorative edgings such as braids, cords, fringes, pompoms, tassels, tiebacks, galloons, and gimps for furnishings, décor softs, drapery, or specialized clothing (for example  military uniforms).
